The lines of the hours of the sundial were made with double coloured copper wires interlaced with bobbins, according to the rigorous method of lace pillow work.

The lace quadrant was laid on red craped paper and covered with a protective glass; then it was inserted on the bottom of an antique 45x35 cm tray.
